My family frequents this Japanese market by our house called Uwajimaya. They have all kinds of interesting snacks/sweets, an entire isle of noodles, and lots of vegan meat-substitutes.
Much to my surprise and dismay I discovered something horrible in the store this evening: shark-fin soup! What a shocking discovery. It really bummed me out.
But then I was comforted at the thought of how they won’t be able to sell that soup for very long. As I’ve posted, Oregon’s Senate ready to make the sale of shark fins illegal. It’s still horrific having seen those cans right before my eyes; but at least it’s a terminal horror.
